Sports Marketing: Transform the Game

Fitness Bootcamps, Summer Sports Camps, Learn to Swim Programs all have one thing in common --- these small business ventures must stand out in a crowd. Whatever it is that you are promoting or creating, it’s all about being unique.  It is imperative that the small business owner focus on marketing their product or service as something different. For those on a shoe-string budget, check out these sport marketing tips for taking your game to the next level.

Logo – Create a memorable brand that will stand out in the crowd. Consider keeping it simple; complicated logos that are flashy and/or colorful are not always necessary (re: the Nike swoosh or the Adidas three stripes). Develop the product by placing the logo on everything.
Social Media – Utilize the power of social media to promote the business. With over 1 billion Facebook users and 500 million Twitter enthusiasts, social media is a powerful resource that is free!
Network – It’s about who you know, so you MUST get connected with the community and other professionals in the business.

When creating a marketing campaign, produce a product that the public will readily recognize and embrace.  Remember that consistency and repetition are keys to success!

My 2 Cents.... "A simple logo design allows for easy recognition and allows the logo to be versatile & memorable. Good logos feature something unique without being overdrawn."

  6. I love the Nike swoosh ... it is timeless in its simplicity. This type of understated elegance and professionalism makes a bold statement in a world too often dominated by flash.
