Many think that what you eat does not and will not have a direct effect on your health and appearance. Truth is, it does. It may not have an instant effect, but direct- most definitely. One bad meal won’t make you fat, but also, one healthy meal won’t make you skinny. It’s a process. There are many foods out there that claim to be good for you, but unless you really know every ingredient you are consuming, anything can be said to be “healthy”. For example, the majority of granola bars have so much sugar2, yet many people imply it to be a healthy snack, and it is when compared to snacking on cookies but healthier options are available.
So what is a healthier option? That option will always be natural fruits and vegetables, or foods that you make from home because you know what it consists of and there is no surprise in what you're consuming.1 It’s much more expensive to buy healthy foods, that’s a fact, but in the long run your body will have a healthier/stronger immune system which means less money spent at the doctor's office and more money in your pocket.
Eating fast and processed foods will also catch up to you and make you very sluggish and without energy. That can ruin your day and the day of those around you. Simply eating an apple and going for a light walk will lighten your mood and bring positivity. People like to be around those types of people.
It all goes down to what you eat. Eat a donut or eat celery, you really don’t want to be called either, but your body will show results when fed the right stuff.
