As a coach, I always called in my scores to the broadcast stations. I stopped once to ask someone, after I noticed my scores went unnoticed, why they didn't include women's sports. The reply was simply, "no one is interested". It is still a daunting task for women to get into the spotlight. Even when Serena won Wimbledon, 2015, she was criticized in tweets that she looks like a man. Why do muscles equate to men and why do women athletes get portrayed in Sports Illustrated by models without any muscles? In high school I was showing my grandmother pictures of me hurdling. She asked, "What is that?" as she pointed to my quadriceps in the picture.
